Program number BES902

Course Description

This program provides an introduction to the Cost Reduction Protocol (CRP) for high-performance building envelopes. It highlights the importance of CRP in constructing superior green and energy-efficient buildings at a lower up-front cost than conventional construction. The course uses case studies of projects with documented high-performance building envelopes that include design, construction, and commissioning cost data. It includes an overview of the comprehensive CRP process including the design and quality assurance methods used to guarantee the performance of these thermal envelopes. Other benefits such as LEED and USGBC certifications can be discussed. This is a Powerpoint presentation supplemented with a demonstration of quality assurance and compliance testing equipment.
